Gatha —
Crafting a map-based mobile app for location sharing.

- UI Design
Gatha is a mobile app that seeks to allow people to localize their family and friends through a map experience.
I played a key role in this startup as a UI/UX Designer, working alongside a talented team of professionals globally to design their mobile application. I was involved in every aspect of the product design process, from initial concepts and wireframes to prototypes.

Following a design process
We established a comprehensive design process that was followed by the design team. I was able to actively participate in the majority of the stages of the creative process. This served as a valuable learning opportunity for me.
When I joined the design team, they already had a clear business direction for the product. So I jumped in quickly to simplify the user journey using a low-fidelity wireframe. I wanted to guarantee users would have a shorter path to look for their friends on the app.

Applying atomic design to build a design system
Atomic Design allows you to understand design systematically through the use of components. We used this design system to ensure each UI component would be coherent and keep the same style for all pages.

We created the color palette thinking in the following keywords: Clean, Fresh, Modern, and Green. The green color was the Hero Color of the company since its foundation.

Simple and user-friendly mobile design
I began by creating the necessary UI elements for the app, while concurrently designing multiple screens of the app. With the constant addition of new features, many screens required multiple versions. I kept user-centered design principles and usability guidelines to ensure an intuitive and cohesive experience for the end user.
